  • Article is new enough and has been expanded recently enough. I don't see the information on the 1977 election in the source given. Ditto for the joint candidacy information. Is counting votes (source #4) the same thing as declaring their results (article text)? I am not seeing anything about scheduled tribes in the source. Some sentences may warrant rewording as they are quite similar to the source text, otherwise no copyright or plagiarism concerns.   • Sorry folks. I object existence of this article itself. How low and newspapery are we gonna go? Are we gonna have all elections, constitution wise have separate articles?     • I concur with Dharmadhyaksha, I also believe that this is getting redundant. What is the necessity of this separate almost stub page when the better option is to merge it. I'm of the opinion that it should be merged back to the main article. Jim Carter 10:18, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
  • @Dharmadhyaksha: This Lok Sabha by-election has revived significant coverage in reliable sources. This one wasn't like the other by-elections. The constituency covers 3 districts which have a combined population of more than 3.2 million peoples (more populous than Mongolia, Armenia or Albania) and area greater more than 10,000 km2 (larger than 7 European, 7 Asian and 6 African countries). Don't you think when voters of such a constituency elect their MP, it gets great deal of media coverage which is a crucial aspect of notability. Madhya Pradesh's CM himself campaigned for the BJP candidate. Though this election was held in West Madhya Pradesh, it was well covered by the national newspapers. About the name issue– Sources use the term Jhabua-Ratlam and I followed them. --Skr15081997 (talk) 08:08, 30 September 2016 (UTC)
Your statistical analogy is not an helpful argument. I do not want to waste my time giving statistics on how small 3.2 million people are as compared to other populations and how larger geographical entities do exist because that's not even a criteria anywhere. CM's canvas. That's not new. Have you not heard of Kejriwal canvasing ever? So your sources, which are plenty many and on whose count you decided to make an article did not even bother to get the name of the constituency correct!? Wow!   • @Dharmadhyaksha: Does that mean elections in countries or places having smaller population than your own benchmark shouldn't have an article on Wikipedia. Where is it stated? You are saying that you don't want to waste your time. What can we do regarding that? About the constituency name thing I followed WP:COMMONNAME. What's wrong with it.
