Jagdgeschwader III

edit
  • ... that on 15 and 16 July 1918, Jagdgeschwader III suffered seven losses to self-igniting ammunition? Source: "Because of the extreme heat, the phosphorus ammunition ignited on its own...This cause was responsible for the loss of seven machines...."

Created by Georgejdorner (talk). Self-nominated at 18:19, 8 February 2018 (UTC).

  • New enough (created by Georgejdorner on 8 February 2018), long enough (10,901 characters "readable prose size"), almost fully referenced (Fokker Dr.I missing a reference), hence C class. Hook not supported by article: it says "seven German airplanes supporting 7th Armee were lost to self-ignition of ammunition during 15 and 16 July", not that all these losses were suffered by JG III. Source same, notes loss of a pilot in Jasta 10. Re-word hook (or choose another one.) (Also: link 7th Army (German Empire)) QPQ required Hawkeye7 (discuss) 19:11, 8 February 2018 (UTC)
    • Let's try ALT1: ... that on 15 and 16 July 1918, Jagdgeschwader III faced the problem of self-igniting ammunition?
    • Probably a better hook anyhow. And I am off to my "re-cite-al".Georgejdorner (talk) 19:39, 8 February 2018 (UTC)
    • Okay, supplied fresh cites for all aircraft used by the wing, including the Fokker Dr.1. Linked 7th Armee.Georgejdorner (talk) 20:01, 8 February 2018 (UTC)
QPQ done. Good to go with ALT1. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 00:39, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
