The article, while well researched, seems to have a bias against mentioning Orthodox Jewish rabbis and institutions of the late 20th and early 20th centuries. Why is there no mention of Rabbi Emanuel Feldman, who built up an Orthodox community from scratch, his son Rabbi Ilan D. Feldman, who continues this legacy, the Atlanta Scholars Kollel, and the day school? Yoninah (talk) 12:31, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

@Yoninah: Given the author's background (see User:Zchai72) and assuming good faith, I would believe that this is an issue of incompleteness rather than outright bias. Hi, no bias against Orthodoxy (I am ModOx actually). I wrote about the three rabbis I did because they shaped the broader community in their era, which began prior to the tenures of Rabbis Emanuel and Ilan Feldman. Rabbi Emanuel Feldman did not begin his tenure until 1952, and of the three rabbis I wrote about the last started in 1928. I do mention Beth Jacob in the article, and I do not mention the Kollel because I do not mention or list out any of the community's many educational institutions. Hope that clears things up! Thanks for the explanation, Zchai72, but you must realize that writing a "history" of the Jews of Atlanta and leaving out salient points, even in an abbreviated form, does not make a complete article. Per Rule D7 the article is not supposed to look like a "work in progress". It's a little difficult to say such a thing about such a long article, but I feel the page is missing an important chunk of Orthodox Jewish history. Today Atlanta is considered the hub of Orthodox Judaism of the south. Yoninah (talk) 12:53, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

@Yoninah: I don't think the article has a "work in progress" feel at all. I'm not Jewish, and certainly not Orthodox Jewish, so I can't say I understand the subtleties of the politics here, but Zchai72 has given a reason for writing the history has they have. You may disagree with that, and that's a content dispute, but I don't think it makes the article an invalid DYK subject. WikiDan61^ChatMe!_ReadMe!! 12:57, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

Hi Yoninah, with respect, I feel your critique is a bit harsh. Orthodox Judaism is mentioned more in the article than any other denomination, coincidentally, and in the modern community section the importance of the Orthodox community today is clear. If you have a particular edit in mind, I'm sure your contribution would help improve the article. I think this conversation would be more appropriate for the article's talk page, and I agree with WikiDan61 that this is a question of content rather than DYK eligibility.
