edit
  • ... that English language teacher Henry Hadley was shot in Gelsenkirchen in 1914 by a Prussian officer before the United Kingdom entered World War I?

  • Thank you. Alt hook: ... that the first British victim of World War I, Henry Hadley, was shot by a Prussian officer before the United Kingdom entered the war? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 22:13, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
  • It all checks out, but I have to wonder whether this man is notable only for being shot during peacetime? Many people are. If there's more to him, the article should say so. If not, perhaps Death of Henry Hadley would be a better title, per Wikipedia:PSEUDO#Pseudo-biographies. Anyway, both hooks are fine, but the alternative one might be a bit "hookier".
