@Buidhe: re the hook, you are right, of course, but by this logic we can disqualify anything ever coming to DYK, because everything has happened at some point or another in history. The DYK quality here is its obscurity: this is a conflict relatively well known to an English-speaking audience, but the Greek participation is completely unknown even to many military buffs. Perhaps if I added "although Greece remained neutral", would it be better? Constantine 08:46, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
  • I'm going to have to disagree with Buidhe here. I see no problems with the original hook and personally I do find it interesting that a Greek group would fight on Russia, though others may disagree of course. Of course, if you have any other possible hook suggestions that would be appreciated too. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 13:43, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
  • @Cplakidas: this nomination is now two and an half weeks old and you have not provided a QPQ requirement yet. As per the recent RFC on a timeline to submit a QPQ, please complete the requirement within one week from now or this nomination could be rejected. Flibirigit (talk) 22:54, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
  • @Flibirigit: Hi, I was waiting for a response on my question above and then forgot about it. Will do so right away. Constantine 16:12, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for completing a QPQ. A follow-up review is needed. Flibirigit (talk) 03:43, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
  • Looking at this anew, this article is a newly promoted GA and is new enough and long enough. The hook facts are cited inline, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. The image is in the public domain and I find the hook sufficiently interesting. A QPQ has been done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:42, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
