  • Review New enough, long enough, QPQ confirmed (not yet promoted, not required). Earwig is clear. No copy violations or close paraphrasing. Hooks are neutral and supported by the cited obituary.
I prefer ALT1 as being hookier. The Star Tribune article uses the word "flashed" which connotes his being first, but it actually doesn't use that word. We could also do hooks that include:
Which might be too tabloidesque. Can you say Daily Mirror? {:<{)>
In any event, I am satisfied that all DYK requirements are fulfilled. If the nominator wants the other hooks considered, he can so indicate. 7&6=thirteen () 15:42, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
I've added the quote to support ALT3 (revised to match the quote) and would rather that it would be considered over ALT2. SounderBruce 23:57, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
ALT3 is GTG. 7&6=thirteen () 03:10, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
Double-tick to confirm that ALT3 is okay (since reviewers aren't technically supposed to approve hooks they've suggested, and so this can be promoted without hassle). Rest of the review as above. 97198 (talk) 04:56, 23 March 2017 (UTC)
