Das geheime Königreich edit

  • Reviewed: Beatrice Alexander
  • Comment: it happened 6 May, - too late for that day, sorry, - the May Festival was called Maiwoche that year, the first festival after World War I, but too difficult to explain in a hook. I see that I will have to update the festival's article.

  • New enough, long enough, neutral, cited. No copyvios/close paraphrasing detected, but you need to use quotation marks for "satirical fairy-tale" both in the article and the hook if that is a direct quote; it is very specific language. AGF on German sources. This hook is awkwardly worded mostly because there's so much going on here. In particular, the "called a satirical fairy-tale" phrase seems out-of-place and jarring. How do you feel about replacing that whole phrase with "a "satirical fairy-tale" by Ernst Krenek" and then letting the "two other short operas" explain the format of the piece? ~ Rob13Talk 17:01, 23 May 2017 (UTC)
  • Thank you for looking! Do you mean "one-act" is redundant to "short"?
ALT1: ... that Das geheime Königreich (The Secret Kingdom) by Ernst Krenek, called a satirical fairy-tale, was premiered with two other short operas in Wiesbaden in May 1928?
ALT2: ... that the short satirical opera Das geheime Königreich (The Secret Kingdom) by Ernst Krenek was premiered in Wiesbaden in May 1928?
Need to go. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:21, 23 May 2017 (UTC)
The "quote": it's only the translation of a quote, - don't know how to clarify in a short hook. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:00, 23 May 2017 (UTC)
Ah, yes, that's tricky. Let's use ALT2 to side-step the attribution issue. Good to go. ~ Rob13Talk 18:51, 23 May 2017 (UTC)
