In the hook-related portion of the article, I do not understand the sentence "It was the first production by the company that had produced the world premiere in 1912." Is that the sentence that is supposed to be supporting the proposed hook's claim that the 2019 performance of Der ferne Klang was the first performance of that opera at Oper Frankfurt since its premiere there 107 years earlier? If so, that's not at all clear to me. Also, neither of the two sources cited after that (confusing to me) sentence, the April 2019 article in Neue Musikzeitung and 29 March 2019 article in Franfurter Rundschau, support that claim as far as I can determine.- Other points: The 5x expansion is confirmed, and I feel that its being spread across 8 days instead of 7 or fewer, due to travel, is acceptable. - Thank you for the review. While it's true - pointed out in the program book and the introduction before every performance - it's not crucial to the director, - just a bit more of an honour.

- Can you add a citation that more clearly states that Der ferne Klang had its world premiere at Oper Frankfurt in 1912? The wording of the 1 April Neue Musikzeitung article seems unclear (much too vague, at best) on that point, and the Frankfurter Rundschau article does not mention that historical point at all. I imagine this is well-documented, but if it's going to be used in the DYK hook, it needs a supporting source right after the sentence stating it in the article. (Also, I hope you are planning to try rephrasing that sentence that I said I do not understand.) SJ Morg (talk) 10:13, 26 June 2019 (UTC)

- I understand, but my job here is to review the proposed DYK hook. And with your high level of experience at DYK, you should know that my request was merely asking you to follow one of DYK's most basic, longstanding rules. Rule 3b: "Each fact in the hook must be supported in the article by at least one inline citation to a reliable source, appearing no later than the end of the sentence(s) offering that fact. ... - SJ Morg, I added that citation. Then I saw that the fact was already in the citation given, first sentence, "„In Frankfurt begann alles…“ beschreibt Franz Schreker selbst seinen künstlerischen Weg, der mit der beifallumrauschten Uraufführung von „Der ferne Klang“ 1912 begann." It all began in Frankfurt, ... with the premiere in 1912". --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:08, 30 June 2019 (UTC)
- My apologies. You are correct. Although my German is very limited, the main reason for my error is that when I first checked that Neue Musikzeitung article, I was checking it against the original hook. When I re-checked it later, for the ALT hook, I was not as careful as I should have been. Sorry!
Good to go for ALT1. Along with the qualifying points I mentioned above under "other points", the hook is of appropriate length. There is one sentence in the article (mentioned above) that still needs clarification, but not connected with the approved hook, and that small issue is not sufficient reason to delay the nomination. - Thank you for diligent work, - no need to feel sorry. I should have checked the source again, instead of arguing and looking for another, - my mistake. Replied to the other on my talk, because I saw it sooner than this.
