Long enough, well referenced, new enough (just, I think!), seems neutral. The hook is fine; I'm not sure about the "Campaign for the Traditional Cathedral Choir" reference as a source (much as I like a cathedral choir), but the Times article is sufficient. My only question is the QPQ: is "Women in Red" a reference to this, Gerda Arendt? Relentlessly (talk) 22:32, 23 March 2016 (UTC)

I noticed a grammatical problem with the hook, and then, when reading the article, found an even greater one with the incorrect claim that the Western Wind Mass was co-written by Taverner, Sheppard, and Tye. (Each composer wrote his own mass based on the "Western Wind" tune.) She has also not won four Gramophone Awards, though she may have sung on CDs that won various Gramophone awards; however, the cited source only mentions two different recordings, and it gives no confirmation that she sang on those particular recordings. And, of course, while Caroline Trevor may be a contralto, Patrick Craig certainly is not, so to say the group has two contraltos is not correct; indeed, before she joined the group, they used male countertenors/altos, and typically have one in the section to this day. Given these issues, the article needs to be gone over and checked for factual accuracy, and should probably mention that she has been singing with the Tallis Scholars since 1982 ("more than 20 years" vastly understates it), according to the Bach Cantatas source (I've seen confirmation elsewhere as to the 1982 date). I have proposed a new ALT hook; I'd be fine with changing "decades" to "over thirty years", "over three decades", or "a third of a century", though the latter might not be best given "nine centuries" later in the hook:

- I've finally located that Phillips book that had the information I wanted, and also found the solo recording I thought I remembered. I've also done a bit more editing here and there, including copyediting. I think it's ready. Relentlessly, could you please check again, and see whether you think it meets DYK standards, now that Gerda has supplied a QPQ? Article is new and is long enough per DYK check. It was nominated 8 days after creation [This can be considered acceptable as older nominations were still being processed - see Supplementary Rules for Older Article (D9)]. Article is neutral, has appropriate inline citations, and does not have close paraphrasing or copyright issues per WMFLabs Dup Detector. Hook is short enough per Character Count check. It is interesting, accurate, neutral and all facts are cited with inline citations. QPQ done. No images. This is my first DYK review, and I am reviewing in order to gain more experience in Wikipedia.
