- A decent article, though it had rather a lot of typos for my liking (please make sure you proof-read before you submit to DYK; I've fixed them myself). It's new enough, long enough, well sourced (AGF for offline sources) and neutrally written. I think the hook could be improved; as far as I know, doesn't "Israeli" (in English at least) refer to the modern country, not the ancient kingdom? Also, it's not clear from 2 Kings 10:14 whether Beth Ekad was a town or just a locality (the King James version translates Beth Eked as "shearing house"). I'd suggest the following alternative hook.
