Alfie Fripp edit

Tunnel "Harry" from the Great Escape.

  • ... that RAF Squadron Commander Alfie Fripp (1913–2013), the longest-serving and oldest-surviving British prisoner of war of World War II, "liberated" tools used in the excavation of the Great Escape tunnel (pictured)?

  • Length OK; date OK; references OK; no close paraphrasing concerns. Hook length, format and referencing in the article OK. I copy-edited the hook a bit, and changed it to say he helped in the construction rather than helped dig the tunnel as there is no indication that he participated in the actual digging. Also changed the Great Escape link to the film. Image is suitably licensed on Commons. I removed additional commentary on the Great Escape from the image mouseover as it should just be a description of the image. Good to go. BabelStone (talk) 01:09, 10 January 2013 (UTC)

  • Word 'oldest' needs to be substituted for 'last' in hook for accuracy .Sealman 13:36, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
    Done! Thanks! Kiefer.Wolfowitz 13:47, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
