This template assists citing the 4th edition of An Etymological Dictionary of the English Language by Walter William Skeat.

Usage

edit

The first parameter is the word entry. Other options are:

  • |page= or |pages= – if stated, the citation will link to the corresponding page (if the link does not work, specify the correct URL in |source=)
  • |source= – if unspecified or set to archive, the citation will link to Archive.org; if set to google, it will link to Google Books; if set to none, the link will not appear; if set to anything else, it will override the link (must be a URL)
  • |mode=cs2 – makes it compatible with {{Citation}}

If both the first parameter and the page(s) are specified, the entry will be linked instead of the book title.
