Non-notables

edit

@LeftWingBrit1996: Before trying to reinstate the previous content, please take a look at WP:SUMMARY and WP:LISTDD, and then try to understand why listing every non-important person who was "elected" to some position in this organisation is not helpful or useful information to our readers. I'd argue a list of the Young Fabians' historical leadership is relevant information, although to avoid cluttering the main article with a huge table, it could be separated out into its own list article? Extua (talk) 12:02, 27 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
Maybe the historical leadership is relevant, if more than a few of them are notable or went on to become notable thereafter (the small number of them that are blue links lets me think otherwise) - if that's not the case then the existing list can be trimmed down and kept in the article. However, the portion I removed is very likely out of scope for an encyclopedic article. RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 20:37, 27 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
I'd also argue that we need to remember that Wikipedia is not a directory of each and every person involved in each and every position within an organisation. I'd suggest we try to find a compromise and work from there. Maybe find citations for each position but not necessarily list every person? Good place to start. doktorb wordsdeeds 07:00, 1 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
