Context

edit

The foundational format/template for this article was adapted from Trojan War in art and literature.

A corollary article is World War I in art and literature.

A related article is The Holocaust in art and literature. --Tenmei (talk) 06:43, 1 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

The image File:Flags of our fathers.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

The following images also have this problem:

Is this list meant to be exhaustive?

edit

A user recently added a book with an interesting title to this page. I looked into the book a bit, and its Amazon.com blurb gives the impression that it's a somewhat disturbing piece of anti-Showa Emperor propaganda, and the author (let alone the book) seems to be barely notable. Amazon also implies that the date given on this page is a total lie (2008 rather than 2013). Anyone mind if I remove it? Or the other items on the list that don't have Wikipedia articles? 126.0.96.220 (talk) 14:00, 6 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Bad ISBN

edit

Because it is causing a Checkwiki error #73: "ISBN-13 with wrong checksum", I removed the ISBN from the entry:

Roy, Pinaki (2014). "Muses at Arms: Reading Select Second World War Poems by Keith Douglas and Alun Lewis". Modernism vis-à-vis Postmodernism: A Sojourn. Ed. Dasgupta, A. Howrah: Imprint, 2014 (ISBN 978-81-920398-0-8 Parameter error in {{ISBN}}: checksum). Pp. 148-56.

I have tried unsuccessfully to locate the correct ISBN on the Internet. No google hits for the Modernism title except this article. No hits on WorldCat for the author. Knife-in-the-drawer (talk) 13:01, 24 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
