Confirmed Characters?

It would be nice if we had some confirmation on the characters listed as confirmed. Some of the obvious ones, like Wolverine and the characters that appeared on that poster perhaps don't need citation, and it would be nice to see the articles that confirm the voice actors for particular characters, but for some of them, like Gambit, whom we haven't seen public proof of their existence in the series, need a citation before they are confirmed. 74.70.7.38 01:09, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

How do you know what characters have been comfirmed when no information has been given about the series? User:Thelaststand 17:35, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

Well, Wolverine. And the leaked poster of Wolverine and the X-Men gave us Colossus, Rogue, Kitty, Nightcrawler, Prof. X, and Cyclops. Flutterby Lullaby 09:31, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
How can all the characters currently listed be confirmed without any sources? I've done a couple of searches and haven't come up with anything except what's listed on the imdb. Furthermore, half the cast info appears to be cut and pasted from X-Men Legends II so I doubt it's accurate (esp. Patrick Stewart). If no additional sources can be provided, all characters, except those listed on the imdb, will need to be removed.~ Dusk Knight 05:21, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
Even so, IMDB is also user-edited... those aren't accurate, either. I've seen very few references to confirmed characters or their voice actors... Flutterby Lullaby 03:31, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
Aww it sucks that theres no jean grey as a character. I really wish they would make a series where she was as good as she was in the comics. The first x-men she was pathetically weak and evolution was okay but she was still young and inexperienced. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.84.180.18 (talk) 20:05, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Storm is set to play a character role in the Series and is confirmed at ENI enewsi.com (see link here http://i.enewsi.com/g/index.php?mode=view&album=Entertainment%2FWolverine_And_The_X-Men&pic=Wolverine_XMen.jpg&dispsize=600&start=0) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.220.74.44 (talk) 05:15, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

evolution sequel

Is this a sequel for X-Men: Evolution??—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 124.43.249.249 (talkcontribs) 12:21, 29 June 2007 (UTC).

No, it's not. 09:32, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
Well, It was touted at one point as being a continuation, just revamped, but clearly it isn't that now if it ever was. Meanwhile is there any confirmation as to the audience it will be aimed at?? I see White Queen, who more often than not, has been a rather "adult" character. (Ishvarlan 02:07, 19 October 2007 (UTC))

IMDB

IMDB is not usually considered a reliable source, (as it can be user editted??), most of the content of this article is attrributed to IMDB - without actual links given. I would also say that a charcter cannot be considered to be confirmed by appearing on promotional material - things can often change even in the very last stages of developing and producing a show. All that can really be said is that certain characters appear on rpomotional material. [[Guest9999 (talk) 17:28, 26 November 2007 (UTC)]]

Rogue joins Brotherhood...

http://www.cyber-animation.com/wolverine/wolverine.htm No sign of Mystique. I'd also like to note that this series seems a bit 'darker' than previous X-Men cartoons. Dancehallqueen123 (talk) 07:07, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Jean Grey

Has it been confirmed that Jean Grey is Phoenix in this show?

Uknown really. Jean vanishes in the first few moments of the trailer, and I suspect that'll be in the first few moments of the series, as it seems to be the set up for what the story is all about -- I suspect Jean will be dead (and in Jean's case I use the term loosely) throughout most of the series.

Hey guys, there's a trailer out now showing/confirming a few things (and at very least, a few of the characters)

Re: UK Release Date

Happened to notice that this show is NOT on the BBC's schedule at http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbctwo/ for either Saturday or the following Wednesday. Could the information on the release date be in error?

Ran-san (talk) 05:16, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

It is due to air on 9th augus tnow at 5L30pm on cbbc but it is getting advertised as wolverine only.--Andrewcrawford (talk) 07:37, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Oh i aint admend the article yet because i am awaiting the sign off of today listings--Andrewcrawford (talk) 09:39, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

It has now been pulled fromteh schedule full stop so it first air date is postponed--Andrewcrawford (talk) 17:33, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Okay - added a note that's it's been postponed on the main page. However, if anyone can get an official reference to the postponement, I'd appreciate it.

Also, if anyone can answer the following questions w/substantiation:

    1)Who ordered/requested the postponement?
    2)Why was it postponed?
3)When is the new premeire date?

Please, please, PLEASE put it up. I have some theories, but no proof.

-Ran-san (talk) 18:03, 1 August 2008 (UTC) No way to get the information, only people who know are bbc scheduler they do this a lot with new shows postpoen things with out notice

On that note does anyone know why the release dates are like they are? Not complaning or anything (Im canadian so I get the episodes fairly fast) but it seems odd that the US is getting them so late when they would be such a big market Renegade (talk) 10:47, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Characters and Rosters

Several characters were placed in wrong rosters. As I'm watching the series on a daily basis here on Brazil, I fixed them all and plan to keep doing it everyday until we got it all right. Littlemissgenius (talk) 05:00, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

X-Men from Xavier's future are Bishop, Hellion, Firestar, Domino, Marrow, Kamal, Vanisher and Berzeker only. They all appear in Episode 9. Stop editing Cable and other characters in, please. Also, Polaris is part of the Acolytes, not X-Men. So I moved her back to Acolytes. Littlemissgenius (talk) 05:00, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
Again, I fixed the rosters. There's no Cable in this series so far and Firestar IS part of The X-Men from the future. Polaris is with the Acolytes. Magneto, Mystique, Juggernaut and Sabrethooth have no ties with the Brotherhood, the first three are part of the Acolytes and the latter is part of the Weapon X. Littlemissgenius (talk) 04:16, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Full Names

Are full names necessary for the characters? Most people recognize them by their codenames, plus if anyone is interested in finding out the characters' names, they can go to the characters' pages. It's not a big deal, I just think it clutters up the place a little bit. Plus, there's no confirmation that everyone's real name is the same in this series as it is in the comics. For example, Arclight (comics) is male, so his real name certainly wouldn't be Philippa. Thoughts? Nyssie (talk) 22:45, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

I agree! I prefer just the codenames myself. We don't even know if characters like Rogue for instance have the same name as their comics counterpart. Littlemissgenius (talk) 05:02, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

What channel does this come on? I haven't seen any previews for it. Emperor001 (talk) 19:58, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Nate Grey

Why do people keep moving Nate Grey of the other mutants section? He is seen in the end of episode 26 along with Apocalypse and Mr Sinister... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Christiem (talkcontribs) 06:38, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

OK the Characters List is giving Spoilers with the added in the pharaentesis.

OK I am going to try to change the states of the characters based on the Synopsis or Based on the Pilot Episodes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.127.150.4 (talk) 22:55, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

I agree. I think there shouldn't be Active/Other X-Men sub-sections since it spoils the character's fate.201.83.214.105 (talk) 20:44, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
It's getting pretty big too. Is it time to give the character's their own page? Tydamann (talk) 19:20, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Dr. Kavita Rao / Dr. Zane

Dr. Kavita Rao and Dr. Zane are two completely different characters. While Dr. Rao shows up in Episode 13 only, Dr. Zane shows up in several episodes as Senator Kelly's right hand woman. Don't list them as being the same character. 201.83.214.105 (talk) 04:47, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

Reference notes

Do we really need reference notes for all the characters? I mean, all the episodes have aired already in certain countries and we know which characters appear and which don't. This characters list is completely accurate, however the references notes are not. For instance, Forge does not appear in Episode #1. I think it's best to leave it without reference notes. 201.83.223.30 (talk) 19:35, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

References ought to be fixed rather than removed for the sake of WP:VERIFY. Otherwise, anyone can just add the Human Torch and no one can contest it. --PicketyFence (talk) 11:25, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Production Notes

Ok, so in the Production Notes section, it says that Teletoon will be airing Wolverine and the X-Men, and the link provided for the official Teletoon website confirms that. However, it also says Teletoon now has 'exclusive airing rights' and such, and that YTV will no longer be allowed to air it. Is this even true? I have found no other place that officially confirms this - the YTV website hasn't said a thing, and you can look up new episodes that will be airing (the next one, according to the site will be on Jan. 11 at 11:30am). Marvel Animation Age also has no reference to the dropping of the show from YTV or anything about exclusive rights, and it seems to imply that both networks will air the show. Can we get a link of true confirmation? 24.83.177.183 (talk) 12:14, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

Did anyone else notice.....?

Did anyone else notice a character with spikey red hair and wearing black? I believe that was Penance/Hollow (originally from Generation-X, and she was last seen in comic book mini-series The Loners). Is this worth mentioning in the article? :D --Freespirit1981 (talk) 19:57, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

She also has red skin, solid blue eyes, and claw-like hands and feet. Hollow was running like an animal when Beast was releasing the prisioners in episode # 1 (towards the end). I feel that she should be mentioned in the article. Does anyone else agree with me? :)--Freespirit1981 (talk) 20:44, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Forge

The article claims that Forge rejoins the X-Men, yet I do not recall seeing him before the team disbanded. One year after the explosion he is young and very clearly inexperienced. His first field mission isn't until episode... something. I believe it's Future X but I could be mistaken. What is there to suggest Forge wasn't recruited into the new X-Men similarly to Emma Frost? 94.170.4.71 (talk) 15:47, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Is nobody mentioning the character Tildie Soames? She's now living with the other X-Men, so what does that makes her?

She's not an X-Men, she just lives with them. Tildie Soames belong to the "Other Mutants" section. 04:54, 20 June 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.83.211.116 (talk)

Days of Future Past

I just added a list of X-Men members from the future timeline in season one, but I do not know how to do referencing. Could someone else do this for me, because the list is correct and it would be a shame if it had to be deleted. Cyanid (talk) 08:53, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

provide the source i will add it, if it is spefic episode i will need to get teh information you will need to rpovide me to reference it correctly.--Andy (talk - contrib) 09:02, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
Hmm, I might need to rewatch the series sometime then, because I do not know where to look up the information episode-by-episode.Cyanid (talk) 20:05, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Rogue

Stop deleting Rogue's place in Brotherhood of Mutants.

Someone keeps deleting her name. Rogue was part of the Brotherhood for many episodes such as Time Bomb.

True. She joined the Brotherhood before the X-Men. Read it and weep, noobs! 23:07, 19 August 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.170.133.209 (talk)

Season One

What happened to the full synopsis of season one? It was up for a while, and now all of a sudden it has been reduced to nothing. It would be nice if people are going to make edits that they at least give a good reason for removing everything. If it has already aired fully elsewhere besides the U.S. who cares? Leave the article alone. It's not hurting anyone and it is helpful for people who may not be able to view the program.Drunknesmonsta (talk) 21:41, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

Emma Frost sacrificing herself to destroy the Pheonix Force should be mentioned. UncannyGarlic (talk) 05:32, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
Actually the season 1 summary seems to generally skim over the middle part of the series, particularly missing mention of Senator Kelly, Angel's transformation into Archangel, and any mention of the Brotherhood. It seems to be written as a spoiler light synopsis rather than a proper summary. The language also fails to meet Wikipedia's guidelines on tone as it fails to be impersonal and dispassionate. Sentences like the following fragment are what I'm talking about "Fortunately, this problem does not last for very long."UncannyGarlic (talk) 05:51, 30 October 2009 (UTC)

Random Edits

Can we get someone to keep an eye on this article? Those random edits are getting ridiculous. For instance:
01. Writers of the show never talked about the storyline for season 2, and neither about Emma Frost being reborn with the power of Phoenix.
02. Tildie Soames is not an X-Men. She does not belong in the X-Men section.
03. Stop deleting Rogue's place in Brotherhood and Emma's place in Hellfire Club.
04. Someone re-named the X-Men from Professor X's future to "X-Men from Days of Future Past". The name "Days of Future Past" was never mentioned on the show. Not only that, but this person also deleted the references of the characters in this section.
05. X-Men (Age of Apocalypse) in an unecessary section. Professor Xavier from the Sentinels future is the same from the Apocalypse future. It's really upsetting people are editing this article whenever they feel like it with wrong information.201.83.226.102 (talk) 04:49, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

I aggree with whoever posted the the above comments. People need to stop editing it for their own needs. This is supposed to be an information source, not a pissing contest between people. Everyone may not agree with what is being written, and of course that is going to happen, but shouldn't people try to find a way to incorporate everything into something that is acceptable to the majority? Cyclops with Apocalypse in season 2?

Having watched the episode and seeing the distinct resemblance between the two, the long haired person seen with Mr Sinister appears younger than Scott Summers does in present day, and as it is unconfirmed that this is in fact Scott Summers, I have reason to believe that it may very well be Stryfe or some other incarnation/clone of the Summers bloodline. As it is seen in episodes that Mr Sinister did in fact gain samples of both Jean Greys and Scott Summers DNA. I propose that this mention of cyclops be reworded to something along the lines of somebody who looks like Cyclops. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.7.95.176 (talk) 17:09, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

Given that season 2 has not begun airing yet it is still up in the air. However, having read and followed the X-Men and being familiar with The Age of Apocalypse storyline, I would say that is indeed Cyclops that is next to Sinister at the end of Season 1. It is spcualation on my part I know that, but it looks like Cyclops and it is how he appeared in The AOA version of the comics. While it is possible that your above scenario is possible, it is still up in the air at the moment, so going one way or the other could be a problem at this point. I do find it unlikely that it is not Cyclops. He appears to look the same as Scott does with the exception of the longer hair and the missing eye, which again is how he appeared in the AOA. Only time will tell what comes of this, and Season 2 is supposed to begin airing in the U.S. in January of 2010 I believe. Drunknesmonsta (talk) 20:25, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

characters

i think that enough characters have been introduced that another page about the chracters can be made altogether. Also unless someone goes through all the pages of characters which is at least over 50 characters and the entire episode guide they'll know nothing about the characters. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.181.108.194 (talk) 20:39, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

While there are enough characters that have appeared on the show, putting all the characters on a seperate page doesn't seem to make sense. Some of the characters that have been on the show have lengthy histories in the main Marvel Universe, while others are somewhat obscure. The way that the page is currently set up, with links to each of the characters that have appeared in the show seems to be the best way to leave it. If anyone does want to know information about a particular character, they can just click on the link and all of the pertinent information from the comic book Marvel Universe, any alternate realities that they may appear in, as well as what their role on Wolverine and The X-Men was is readily accessible. Creating a new page that is just going to have a very brief synopsis of who that person is just seems time consuming and wasteful. If the show is picked up for more than two seasons, what you suggest could possibly become a reality. However, since a lot of the characters, save for the X-Men, The Brotherhood, Senator Kelly and a few others are only shown in one, maybe two episodes, there will not be a sufficient amount of information regarding their individual histories in the Wolverine and The X-Men universe to warrant the creation of a new page dedicated to a brief description of each of the characters. Drunknesmonsta (talk) 19:49, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Season Two Petitions

There are two petitions going on for the show, maybe with our help we can post links to them and save the show just like we did with primeval! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aslan10000 (talkcontribs) 21:25, 16 April 2010 (UTC)

I think it is a major happening, but should it really go into the PLOT section. It has nothing to do with the plot/story of the series. It could have a separate section like reception, or CONTINUITY. Dont you agree? Farjad0322 30 April 2010

I agree with Farjad on this one. I'm all for doing whatever we can to get the show to air a second season, but the information about the petitions does not belong in the plot section of the article. As Farjad suggested, creating a seperate section regarding the reception and the petition information would not be a bad idea. As long as the reception information is not original research and we can cite the online petitions it shouldn't be a major problem. 76.119.127.164 (talk) 06:28, 26 May 2010 (UTC)Drunknesmonsta

Then let's put it up! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aslan10000 (talkcontribs) 04:11, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, but no... petitions are not notable simply because they exist, and Wikipedia generally shuns direct links to petitions (or any promotion of petition campaigns). This is not a slight against the show, but simply a reflection of the project's purpose as an encyclopedic work. --Ckatzchatspy 04:30, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
Can you please give the link to the page in which wikipedia shuns mentioning of any such petitions. After that nobody can put the petition stuff up. Farjad0322 (talk) 02:03, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

How? HOW? How can they cancel Season 2 after the cliffhangar in Season 1. There were so many good characters in there (DOMINO!), and the video direction was impeccable. How can they cancel all the good shows like Spectacular Spiderman and let shows that are pure garbage (Superhero Squad) continue? Marvel animation needs to get its act together. At least we have DC animation.Tetris11 (talk) 17:25, 4 August 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.43.66.211 (talk)

They have cancelled it because they are putting all their efforts in making an avengers series as well as live-action films. X-Men, fantastic four and spider man are just not that famous anymore. Marvel is now targeting heroes who have not adopt screen for a long time now. Consider Ironman and Thor. If you see the Marvel Studios page on wikipedia, they have new videos coming up... like Thor (film), Captain America: The First Avenger in 2011 and The Avengers film in 2012. Because of these rapid productions of films, the company must be having financial problems. Besides, I think X-Men and Spiderman will have reboot films (that means the story will start from beginning with new cast because old cast is asking for more sallaries).
