Contact edit

Where can I contact the makers of this brand?

If located in Australia you can call the Winfield Hotline on 1800 025 725. Outside of Australia you're probably best off contacting British Tobacco.

Eulogical edit

Reads like an advertisement. Too positive.--131.137.245.198 15:49, 30 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Cleaned up the article so older products don't need to be seen, since they haven't existed for 4 years Matthew858 (talk) 07:11, 16 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

History irrelevant? This is supposed to be an online encyclopedia. All *real* info is relevant, no matter how old it is. Winfield Yellow filter-tip, as I remember from the mid 70s, was the original light product. "Blues" and the other colors came a few years after Yellow. The yellow pouch of ready-rubbed was not light, and came in the 80s. The 70s and 80s growth in pouch tobacco was, I suspect, caused by the large increase in cannabis use. The mix of tobacco and pot helped to cover up the strong pot stink when it was being smoked in public.203.220.105.56 (talk) 08:22, 20 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Are you saying you removed old photographs? Please don't. Anyone know what the asterisk * meant? 165.228.172.109 (talk) 03:44, 21 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Turnover edit

The article describes the brand as selling $750M/yr, making it #3 in retail brands. Most (95%) of the turnover is combined tax and excise. From a $25 packet the makers get about 15c and the retailers/wholesalers take $1. $1.30 is spent on treating all smoking-related diseases ($1b in total). The remaining $22.55 goes to supporting the lifestyles of the Canberra civil service.220.244.73.170 (talk) 04:32, 2 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
