Rebecca never divorced Digger nor did he divorce her. She was afraid he would have forced her back to him. That was the cause she did not confess the truth as long as her husband Herbert lives. She never told him that she was already married and that she had already two children. So she lived with him in bigam marriage. Digger told his children their mother would be dead.
