"See also" - why are these here? edit

The "See also" section lists "Old Friends" by Simon & Garfunkel and "Synecdoche, New York" by Charlie Kaufman, but there's nothing in the prose of the article to indicate why these might be related. In fact, I'm confused why they're there. Can we get the article updated so it's clear why they're related, or strike them? 87Fan (talk) 23:35, 9 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

The video is reminiscent of those. "Old Friends" is two old men sitting together on a park bench, astonished that they're 70 years old and remembering their lives ("Preserve your memories / they're all that's left you"). Synecdoche, New York is ... hard to describe, but basically is someone reproducing his life, and in the end his death, in a film studio/warehouse. My first thought when I saw the video was "Heroes" meets "Old Friends" means Synecdoche, New York, so I added them to See also. I hope we can keep them. Berlin? edit

There isn't a single mention of the song's situation in a place (and a time) that is obviously very important to Bowie. The first line of the song references the center of the city. Can't someone write a bit on this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.67.84.245 (talk) 09:57, 12 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
