Why the apostrophe? edit

I don't know how the title was spelled in the original sheet music, so perhaps there's some historical reason for spelling "till" with an apostrophe. Unless there's evidence for that, the spelling should be corrected to the proper, non-apostrophe, version. The commonly used form "'til" is at best unnecessary, since there's a perfectly valid word, spelled "till," that means exactly the same thing, and is pronounced exactly that same way. The form "'till" isn't even a sensible abbreviation of "until." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thinkatron (talkcontribs) 01:17, 8 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

ADDED: I found a version of the sheet music which manages to spell it all three ways: "till," "'til," and "'till." The sheet music isn't especially old (1950), so I don't know what that says about how it was originally spelled. I'm inclined to say that unless the original spelling was unequivocally "'till" or "'til," the article's title should use the standard spelling — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thinkatron (talkcontribs) 01:38, 8 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
