Shouldn't the name be Wa3f? Now it seems if it would make w.w.w.a.f. shorter (W3 consortium is www consortium, amazon ec2 amazon elastic cloud computing)
I don't know who added the previous comment, but my response is: the name of the product is the domain of Andrés Riancho, the creator of w3af. He is Argentinian, and they may have different standards for abbreviation. Even if they do not, Wikipedia is not the place to confront an author on the naming convention he employed, but merely the venue to document what is. Vertigelt (talk) 18:19, 16 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
