Other temples with similar names

edit

I originally just set out to wikify this article, but I started digging around and it didn't take me long to get confused by all the names. I was wondering how this temple is related to Visvanath Siva Temple, which seems to be in the same city, but built 700 years before. There's also this temple—Kashi Vishwanath Temple, which may be referred to in this article by the word Kashi (I linked it to Benares). If that weren't enough, there is this temple, which is in a place called Khajuraho. What does the word Visvanatha refer to? There is no article about it.

Anyway, it was interesting reading about lingams and yonis. You might want to read through the lead and check all my links to make sure they point to what they're supposed to. Cheers. Braincricket (talk) 15:12, 18 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

In Bhubaneswar the famour Shiva Temple is the Lingaraja Temple which is built in 11th century. Lingaraj Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is considered as the largest temple of the city. Built by king Jajati Keshari of Soma Vansh, the main tower of this temple measures 180-feet in height. It is built in red stone and is a classic example of Kalinga style of architecture. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Debabratpatra (talkcontribs) 07:24, 30 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
