Article title edit

Is "fantastic realism" the optimal title for this article? Fantastic in the English-language sense isn't really the same as Phantasten or Phantastischer in German, which is more about a dream-like state. Are there any English sources that use this term? The book listed, Fantastic Art, is not about this art group but about Surrealist artists that predate the Vienna group. I think this English title may fall under original research. freshacconci talktalk 23:05, 12 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

I seem to recall this being discussed in an English-language book about De Es Schwertberger, and the book used the term "Fantastic" as the adjective. From the description, it seemed to indicate rendering a fantasy world more realistic by attention to detail. The article could use a description of what is meant by the term, as it does look confusing on first glance in English. Bms4880 (talk) 21:06, 16 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

The book listed "Fantastic Art" is also about the Vienna School, Ernst Fuchs, and yes, it discusses the historical context, which is Surrealism. Ottensteiner (talk) 09:56, 7 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Without the inclusion of graphics representing "Fantastic Realism," this article is nearly worthless. Surely a Wiki volunteer can harvest four or five examples that will help bring the subject to life.LarryWiki115 (talk) 19:22, 17 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
