Do we need them? They're also debatable, for example Reti was ethnically Hungarian and there was no state called "Slovakia". MaxBrowne (talk) 10:28, 12 July 2016 (UTC)

Agree. I'd keep the first flag but drop the second one. Noting a player is from the German Empire is fine. No need to break it down further by stating the part of the country they come from. Jkmaskell (talk) 10:48, 12 July 2016 (UTC)
