Only now?
editI have recently created this redirect. It is a redirect from a plural form to its corresponding singular form. The main article is very old, having been around since May 7, 2004, only two or three years after Wikipedia launched. You would think that early in the history of both the article and Wikipedia, some editor recognized that a plural-form redirect to Vertical bar would be beneficial, and that this early editor would actually step forward and fix this simple problem themselves. Yet on November 16, 2017 I was the one who finally created this needed redirect. That is very disappointing to me, since many people were probably confused when they try to create a link to the article about the typographic character | and end up with a red-link like this. Seriously guys, if you see a clear problem with a simple and easy solution, please fix it yourself. — Mr. Guye (talk) (contribs) 05:13, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
