Powers of the Mayor vs. Council
editCan someone on this page and on that of the city's make clear what distinguishes the mayor from the rest of the city council? Is the mayorship only a figure-head position in Vancouver, of does he/she have any kind of executive authority? Does the city have a hired-manager that does this?
