I think this article is talking about the same place as San Agustín Archaeological Park – in any case, it should be merged into that article as it would be included as part of the whole archaelogical site. Richard3120 (talk) 23:02, 26 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Merge certainly, but I don't know to which. The Valley seems to include other sites. Neither article is clear about dating etc. There must be more to say. Johnbod (talk) 12:39, 27 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

The entire site, covering several square kilometers, is a National Park and its proper title in Spanish is Parque Arqueológico de San Agustín. It's also the name used on the official UNESCO World Heritage site. Everybody in Colombia knows the park as "San Agustín", not "Valley of the Statues". So San Agustín Archaeological Park is unquestionably both its proper name and its common name and the article should direct there.

There is definitely more that could be written in the merged article – the site is arguably the best-known archaeological site in Colombia and one of the most important in the whole of South America. There are books such as this one and this one as well as magazine articles that could be used to expand the text. Richard3120 (talk) 14:43, 27 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
