editMy recommendation is that somebody with the technical know-how to source this article get on it right away, before it's deleted. It's existed way too long without any sourcing whatsoever. Qworty (talk) 02:00, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
Remark from another Reader: This article is not so bad/false as I am working on these fields of technology for longer. Though no sources are given one could read similar descriptions also within the "vita.com" homepage. A personal remark from my side would be that: VPX is part of a big technology diversification taking place since PICMG offered the xTCA Telecommunication Standards like ATCA, MicroTCA and VITA the VXS, VPX within this century - swirling around now a marketplace which was more or less unified for decades before around the most popular and basic form factor "Standard VME". Nobody knows yet (2000-2020) if a unified standard like this will ever be born again. It now seems that this marketplace diversification in the form factored embedded systems field will just last now for very long or will get even more worse. This is because the interests and influences of those consortia (VITA, PICMG) are evenly strong and distributed. Hence everybody working on this field (like me) has to cope with this situation possibly until retirement (which is a big sh..). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.135.4.153 (talk) 12:45, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
Article Needs Introductory Sentence/Paragraph
editArticle tells me who originally created VPX, and many other details, without first introducing me to VPX. Suggest starting with what it IS so I know what to make of the details that follow.
I found the following but it too leaves me wanting. Perhaps someone with an understanding of VPX could work it into a suitable introduction: "VPX is a broadly defined technology utilizing the latest in a variety of switch fabric technologies in 3U and 6U format blades." -- https://www.vita.com/vpx

- Yes, indeed, needs some care and attention. I only had a little time to start. Also will be merging in OpenVPX into this one, since it would not stand a delete challenge either. W Nowicki (talk) 22:26, 5 November 2021 (UTC)
