Orphaned references in VFA-34

edit

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of VFA-34's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "DANAS1-2-2":

  • From VA-35 (U.S. Navy): Grossnick, Roy A. (1995). Dictionary of American Naval Aviation Squadrons, Volume 1, Chapter 2, Section 2: Attack Squadron Histories for VA-34 to VA-38 (PDF). Washington, D.C.: Naval Historical Center, Department of the Navy. Retrieved 2014-02-08.
  • From Third VA-34 (U.S. Navy): Grossnick, Roy A. (1995). Dictionary of American Naval Aviation Squadrons, Volume 1, Chapter 2, Section 2: Attack Squadron Histories for VA-34 to VA-38 (PDF). Washington, D.C.: Naval Historical Center, Department of the Navy. pp. 41–43. Retrieved 2014-02-23.
  • From VA-34 (1943-69): Grossnick, Roy A. (1995). Dictionary of American Naval Aviation Squadrons, Volume 1, Chapter 2, Section 2: Attack Squadron Histories for VA-34 to VA-38 (PDF). Washington, D.C.: Naval Historical Center, Department of the Navy. pp. 37–40. Retrieved 2014-02-22.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 13:01, 7 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Squadron insignia

edit

I believe that the insignia version being used in the introduction is not the official insignia, but a reimagining only. It needs to be replaced with official insignia as used on the squadron’s official website: https://www.airlant.usff.navy.mil/vfa34/

I will replace the insignia now. Chrisaratea (talk) 06:11, 1 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
