Untitled edit

V-pop mentions as history the U.S. influence correctly in History. However it does not mention the Vietnamese artists prior to 1975. These artists had a big influence on Vietnamese Pop music.

The article is written in poor English. I do not understand the reference to K-pop in Negative.

Wikipedia should not include ads for personnal use (the reference to address in HCMC).

There are many more current Vietnamese pop artists which are not mentioned. This makes it appear to be heavily biased.

This article is mostly unreadable. Someone needs to completely rewrite it, but I can't quite understand it enough to do so.

Notability and advertising edit

The majority of this "article" appears lists and lists of unreferenced, apparently non-notable, individuals and bands. I will take a stab at pruning these. Ifnord (talk) 15:48, 9 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Cleaning up edit

I have done a lot of cleaning up, mainly trying to make it readable, accessible and neutral. However, even though all the information on this page is credible, it lacks citations and sources. Can wiki-editors (V-pop fans, Vietnamese natives, Overseas Vietnamese fans, or otherwise), please help me include sources onto this page?

"Music genre articles should not contain lists of performers." edit

The list of artists must be removed, according to Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Music#Lists which says "Music genre articles should not contain lists of performers." Anybody is welcome to create a list article to hold the names, by clicking on the redlink List of V-pop artists and filling it in. But the list entries should each be notable to comply with WP:LISTPEOPLE. In practice, that means entries should have Wikipedia articles written about them.
