Fair use rationale for Image:Library3 ulm.jpg

Image:Library3 ulm.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

"The M"

I rolled "The M" out... amazingly dubious and unsourced. I was just there, this wasn't in the paper, posted on the campus. wp:OR on my part but... I don't think I will be embarrassed on this one.- Sinneed 22:54, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Excluding "at"

A user Bjones06 (talk · contribs) has changed text throughout this article to read "University of Louisiana Monroe", excluding the "at". The school may no longer brand with "at", but using "at" is in their formal name, is the WP:COMMONNAME, and is still used on their website. Their identity guidelines still show the bell tower being used, which Bjones06 had removed; and the athletics mark that was currently used in this article is listed as one of the primary logos for athletics, so there was no real good reason to remove that. On Google search, University of Louisiana at Monroe has 18.2 million search results whereas University of Louisiana Monroe only has 1.48 million. It is clear that using "at" is the most common and should be used. 🎄 Corkythehornetfan 🎄 15:56, 25 November 2015 (UTC)

Update: I've reverted Bjones06's edits and move due to the above comment. The numbers have changed slightly ("at" has 14.4 million compared to "no at"'s 5.83 million. Corkythehornetfan 22:44, 17 June 2016 (UTC)

Natural history museum

Regardless of whether the information (about the pending destruction of the natural history collection) "does not accurately reflect the university's traditions or focus on academic success", it certainly reflects media coverage of the university. This is what notability means. DS (talk) 18:55, 7 April 2017 (UTC)
