Nukes?

Think it's worth mentioning that Marines have no role in the production or use of nuclear ordnance? I don't think there are even any gravity bombs left in the US arsenal that a Marine Aircraft can carry. bahamut0013♠♣ 21:24, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

• It is probably worth a mention in the History section somehow linked in with the true focus of CAS. There were 1 or 2 FW squadrons that did train to deliver nuKes in the 50s and 60s. I'll have to do some digging to remember which ones they were. Don't know if those nukes were ever stored on MCASs though.--Looper5920 (talk) 21:42, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

If you are referring to the ref, GlobalSecurity.org cannot reasonably copyright material that they copied from a public domain source, in this case, the squadron's website. In any case, if we ref the PD, then we can ignore whatever claims that GS makes as irrelevant anyway. No problem. bahamut0013^words_deeds 05:21, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

United States Naval Aviation

We currently do not have an article covering United States Naval Aviation. The main WP articles currently covering USN aviation are Naval Air Systems Command and United States Naval Aviator, but thes do not (and should not) cover history, organization, etc. As far as I can tell, there is no specific organization within the USN called "Naval Aviation", but rather it seems to be a common umbrella term for the USN's aviation assets. As such, United States naval aviation might be a better title for an article that paralles this one in covering the USN aviation. I'm currently working on a future article at User:BilCat/Sandbox/United States Naval Aviation in my userspace. If you have any specific commentsz or suggestion for the direction and scope of such an article, you may comment at User talk:BilCat/Sandbox/United States Naval Aviation. Birthplace of Marine Corps Aviation
