The United States Commercial Service is a foreign affairs agency under the United States Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration, responsible for promoting U.S. trade and assisting U.S. companies in exporting to foreign countries. Currently, there are 1,500 Commercial Service Officers employed by the U.S. Department of Commerce.[1][2] Commercial Service employees are stationed at the Commercial Sections of U.S. embassies abroad.
