It's fun to note that both Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and the University of Miami are basically connected by this road.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.24.37.112 (talkcontribs)

  • Miami University is indeed on US 27, but University of Miami misses it by a good six miles. US 27 doesn't enter Coral Gables at all, staying to the north as it veers by Miami International Airport toward Miami Beach (but ending short of Biscayne Bay). 147.70.242.40 22:50, 10 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Then again, if you count Jackson Memorial Hospital (UM's Med school) being on 14th - 17th Streets, and US-27 is 36th Street, it's quite a bit closer, but still no cigar. Still though, you have to wonder if there is anything on either 36th street or Okeechobee Road that is affilitated with UM. - Marc Averette (talk) 02:26, 25 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • I'd like to point out that the northern-most point of US 27 is certainly more north than Fort Wayne, Indiana. In fact, I live on this highway in Michigan, and we drive along it to get to the upper peninsula. I believe it ends somewhere near Sault Saint Marie, Michigan. Hi, adding all state parts of this route I see 1338 miles instead of 1373 miles, so actually it's 35 miles less. 496 (FL) + 356 (GA) +136 (TN) + 191 (KY) + 41 (OH) +118 (IN) = 1338. Regards, Dionysos1988 (talk) 10:25, 1 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
