Tupolev ANT-26 and ANT-28

edit

This page needs updating. Gordon and Rigmant (pp.56-58) provide the specifications, history, and drawings of the ANT-26 and the ANT-28. Besides the ANT-26 with 12 M-34s, Tupolev also considered a version with 6 M-44s. A photo of a model of the ANT-26 (version with six Mikulin M-44s) is shown on p.57. The ANT-26 is described and illustrated as similar to the ANT-16, while the ANT-28 (photo on p. 56) is essentially a sized up ANT-20. Other details are found in Duffy and Kandalov (p. 73,75).
