Copyright problem edit

This article, in its present form, is on a thin line between original writing and plagarism. See http://www.tuntavern.com/pages/history.htm and cross-reference that with the article contents, particularly the chronology of notable events.

First Recruitment Drive not Founded edit

The Continental Marines were founded by an act of Congress. Sam Nicholas recruited the first members at Tun's Tavern. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Darth Borehd (talkcontribs) 23:24, 15 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Tun Tavern: Continental Congress edit

Just for historical accuracy, I would advise someone to change "First Continental Congress" to "Second Continental Congress" as that was when the Marine Corps was established. Also to add to factual information the First Continental Congress was not even in session in 1775, the Second Continental Congress was, however.
