- I was looking to include a link to a relevant article that would discuss the concept of at trunk (c.f. branches) in open source software development, but couldn't realy find anything suitable. Fork (software development) was about as close as I could find, but that doesn't even use the word 'trunk'.
Trunk on ships
editI am reading a specification named S1000D specifying documentation and illustration rules for e.g. ships. There is a section about marking rules for trunks on/in ships. There seems not to be an article about this matter on wikipedia. As a non-english speaker I hoped to find an article. But from what I think I have found out so far a trunk in ships seem to be a vertical region comprising multiple decks and which is connected using manholes or hatches.
