Inconsistencies with fatalities
editThe 2017 Pacific hurricane season article lists seven fatalities with this source from Intolerancia Diario cited, while the National Hurricane Center says there were six in this report published in July 2017 (a month after the storm dissipated and the article from Intolerancia Diario.) While the storm and season articles both list seven fatalities, I wanted to point this out and check if we're keeping the number at seven. Rosalina2427 (talk) 23:31, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Rosalina2427: Yes, true. I saw. Which source do you think is more reliable? The NHC must've gotten their information from somewhere. Keep it at 7 for now, let's see if there are more sources that confirm 6 deaths. ~ Destroyeraa (talk|Contribs) 00:10, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Destroyeraa: I agree with keeping it seven until the proposed change meets WP:VERIFY. I traced the edit from six fatalities to seven to this revision from June 4, 2017 as well. In terms of other sources, this article from Mexico News Daily and The Weather Channel article cited Mexico News Daily as well. I'm inclined to agree with the NHC report, but I'd wait and make sure this number is checked correctly before making the change. Rosalina2427 (talk) 04:52, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
