I'll review this. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 13:04, 28 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Images are appropriately licensed. Sources are reliable; Earwig shows no issues.

  • "Arroyo was able to speak several languages, which was of great use to the associations that she was involved with, as she was able to represent them to other countries. In addition to Spanish, she was able to speak English, French, and German." Suggest "Arroyo was able to speak English, French, and German in addition to Spanish, which was of great use to the associations that she was involved with, as she was able to represent them to other countries" as more concise.
  • "They established themselves with other Spanish intellectuals in exile": not sure what is meant by "established". "Became acquainted with"? "Formed friendships with"? Or if this is more of an intellectual circle, perhaps something like "They established themselves as part of a circle of Spanish intellectuals in exile"?
  • The link to Instituto Libre de Segunda Enseñanza goes to a school in Buenos Aires.
  • Suggest translating "Comité Nacional de Mujeres Antifascistas" as it's not linked.
  • "cousin-twice-removed": I don't think this is usually hyphenated, is it?

That's all I can find to complain about; the article is in excellent shape. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 13:54, 28 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Spotchecks:

  • FN 1 cites "Arroyo and her husband began an ophthalmology practice in Madrid": Verified.
  • FN 8 cites "and the first to be in a subject other than gynaecology": can you quote the supporting text?
  • FN 8 cites "Despite her extensive work and involvement with the university, she was not granted the same privileges or status as her colleagues. She was never granted a professorial position nor was she allowed to publish with the university." Can you quote this too?

The relevant passages:
All comments have been addressed. Is the sentence about intellectuals in exile clearer now? Thebiguglyalien (talk) 14:22, 28 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yes, definitely. Fixes and spotchecks look good, so passing. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 15:24, 28 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
