Great job with this article on Trigona fulviventris. I only made a couple of changes: The first was in the taxonomy section, where you stated the genus Trigona included all stingless bees. I changed it to say that Trigona is a genus of stingless bee, as other genera such as Melipona also represent stingless bee species. I also changed the wording in the diet section to more definitively state that the plant species named are known plants that T. fulviventris forages from. Overall good wording and thorough information with the Behavior section, it was very interesting to learn about foraging and defense behavior. Something I didn't do but suggest is to put the Human Interaction information as a subsection under your information on T. fulviventris nests, as it is a short bit of information that is more specific to the use of the nest than the use of the bee itself. Very interesting article and neatly organized. I like how you split up the Foraging and Defense and Aggression sections, making it less overwhelming to read. I removed some hyperlinks that were dead ends, but added a few more. I also added some information to the introduction to make it more interesting to draw readers in. This switched around the citations, but they're all still correct. It is mentioned that the gynes will mate with a swarm of males mid-flight in the Colony Cycle sections, but I think it would be beneficial to go into more detail in a new section for Mating. I think it would also be nice to have a role differentiation section; even though it is basic knowledge at this point to us, it can help others reading this article. Overall, great job! This article had extensive information on behaviors regarding foraging and defense of this bee species. It was well written and I did not change much. I made a few minor alterations to help improve it. First, I put in links for mandibular, dry forest, pheromones, Costa Rica, foraging, arthropods, nerol, hydrocarbons, fatty acids, olfactory, and vestigial. All the plant names mentioned under diet and scent marking were italicized because they were species names. I added a sentence on foraging behavior in the introduction and described the Hymenopteran order in the taxonomy section. Otherwise, I would just suggest adding more information on mating behaviors and expand the sections that only have a sentence or two, like stinging or human importance.

Fantastic article! I went ahead and created a range map to illustrate the distribution of the Trigona fulviventris bee. I also added a couple links within the article and I reviewed the text for spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Kulshrestha51 (talk) 20:46, 4 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
