Talk:Trenton Sting

The history on the puck page is wrong, confusing the Golden Hawks with the Trenton Bobcats of the Metro Junior B league, which started in 1981 to 1987. That team was the former Belleville Bobcats, moving in 1981 and returned to Belleville in 1987. NCAA Watcher 15:07, 24 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Dukes Fan, I added it about a week or two ago - http://www.quintewestpack.com/ ... unless there is a newer one. Either way... I'm all over it ;) DMighton 17:01, 25 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Trenton HercsTrenton Sting — The franchise has officially folded. The team had multiple names over the years and the most notable of these names was the Trenton Sting. As the Sting, the team played just short of 600 games of Junior A hockey. Under other aliases, including Trenton Hercs, the team played a combined 86 games. The name "Sting" also seems to hold more weight with those fond of the franchise. — DMighton (talk) 05:13, 16 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

They are now called the Trenton Golden Hawks. They moved from Port Hope (Predators) in 2009. The 2009-2010 season saw the hawks finsh 4th in the conference and made it to the semi-finals in the 2010 play-offs. www.trentongoldenhawks.com

Discussion edit

Any additional comments:

The Trenton team has been known as the Trenton Sting for several seasons, over 500 games. As the Quinte West Pack one season(2007/08), 49 games did not make playoffs. As Trenton Hercs one season(2008/09), 37 games and did not finish season. -Wexdog 76.69.37.117 (talk) 13:19, 16 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
