Notes
edit- Early history - I'd like to see this expanded to include details not related to the racial history of SA, which is important but not the only aspect of the country.
- 1948 - 1991 - this is, of course, the high period of the National Party's apartheid. I did not name the section as such because although the unconscionable racism is a pivotal part of SA history, I am reluctant to give the term precedence over the entire 43 year period.
- Trade unions today - I did not include any discussion on the importance of having labour (through COSATU) directly related to the ANC. There are many benefits/costs associated with this arrangement, but I did not feel I was able to detail them with much authority. --Bookandcoffee 17:32, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
