Episode dates edit

@Magitroopa: As detailed in my edit summary, please see documentation at Template:Episode list. OriginalAirDate: "date, formatted using  ()"; AltDate: "Do not use  () if OriginalAirDate is present." Using the incorrect dating manner tags the pages under the error tracking categories Category:Episode lists with unformatted air dates and Category:Episode lists with incorrectly formatted alternate air dates. Thank you. -- AlexTW 04:39, 27 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Episode count and order edit

So Total DramaRama aired in a different order in the USA than it did in Canada. Additionally, it was stated to have 52 episodes, however one episode was a half hour and takes up two episode slots. According to Amazon Prime, the episodes are actually two segments and 26 half-hour episodes (similar to shows such as Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Amphibia, etc.). This link shows the order of the episodes as well as what they should be grouped as, and I believe until an official source states otherwise this is the order we should list the episodes in. --71.117.174.195 (talk) 15:23, 7 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Futon Critic is a WP:RS, which is what is being cited at the top of the table. It gives all the production codes and airdates for the episodes. Magitroopa (talk) 17:18, 7 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Futon Critic also lists Total Drama Presents: The Ridonculous Race under the production codes 7xx and Total Drama: Pahkitew Island under the production codes 6xx when Christine Thompson has confirmed before that's false. It's not the most reliable when it comes to production codes. --71.117.174.195 (talk) 20:23, 8 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
I brought this on to the Total Drama Facebook page. While one user mentions that their [Total Drama] American distributors can't get things right (calling TDPI season 6 and TDRR season 7), another user mentions that the scripts are more reliable. "Lies, Cries, and One Big Prize" (the final episode of TDPI) is listed as S5E26, rather than S6E13. Also, for "None Down, Eighteen to Go - Part One" is listed as "TDRR Episode 1", not S7E1. 205.155.236.2 (talk) 19:34, 9 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Exactly. As I said as well on there at one point a long while back, Christine actually CONFIRMED the production codes for TDPI were 514-526 and that TDPRR was 101-126 because it was a new series. Since she actually worked for the show I'm more inclined to believe her over this website. 71.117.174.195 (talk) 15:46, 10 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Clarify "confirmed" edit

What in hell does "Confirmed by Jennifer Pertsch" mean? Is this some sort of TV production term only used in Canada? If it means "confirmed" in the usual sense, that's a clumsily written sentence which no longer belongs in the introduction, since the show has been in production for almost a year. Episode count for half hour episodes edit

Half hour episodes should be listed as two separate episodes. For example, "Camping is in Tents" should be listed as episodes 41 and 42. "Dissing Cousins" should be season 2, episodes 16 and 17 and overall 68 and 69. This lines up with the series originally being announced as 52 episodes, not 51, and with Chorus Entertainment listing season 2 as also being 52 episodes. Just because Futon Critic lists it as one episode doesn't mean it is. That show has proven to be wrong when it comes to Total Drama based information before, and this is no exception. Cake Enetertainment also lists the show as 104 episodes each at 11 minutes. 96.238.36.15 (talk) 01:28, 30 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

That is incorrect- whether it be the normal episode length or a half-hour episode, it is still one episode. It is all perfectly fine being listed like it currently is. Futon Critic is also fine to be sourced from, especially when it is listed under on production code. Also see how Showbuzz Daily Archived 2019-05-29 at the Wayback Machine lists "Camping is In Tents" as just one half-hour episode. Also, WP:OSE applies here too- just because other articles do something a certain way, it does not automatically mean that it must be done that way here too. Magitroopa (talk) 01:34, 30 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
I'm aware that just because other articles do it doesn't mean that this one does. That's why I didn't use other articles. What I did use? Reasoning coming from the people who actually make this show. The "production code" for the episode also comes from Futon Critic, something proven to list incorrect production codes with the Total Drama franchise before. here are several sources. Those all state the first season is 52 episodes. Further proof from the actual production companies: Cake Entertainment's page for the series lists the series as 104x11 episodes. The digital flipbook made for the first season also lists it as 52x11. Those are just sources I have off the top of my head and with a quick Google search. I'm not saying Futon Critic isn't right with somethings, but I do think what the actual production companies say is more accurate than them. With the logic of following Futon Critic, Total Drama Presents: The Ridonculous Race should be listed as season 7 of the original series and Total Drama All-Stars and Total Drama: Pahkitew Island should be separate seasons even though we know they're not. 96.238.36.15 (talk) 02:08, 30 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Further proving that they're two separate episodes, "Dissing Cousins" even has two separate end credit scenes. I think that should far prove that they're two episodes. 96.238.36.15 (talk) 04:21, 30 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

I understand that there are several sources supporting both sides of this- even with Cartoon Network's website listing "Dissing Cousins" by two separate parts (though "Camping is In Tents" is listed as one full episode, making it even more confusing/harder...). I've just put up a discussion over on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Television talk page, which can be found at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Television#Total DramaRama double-episodes. Hopefully some input there can help out. Magitroopa (talk) 05:39, 30 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

toddlers edit

The source calling them toddlers is wrong. The show doesn't depict them as toddlers, and 4-year-olds aren't usually toddlers unless they are severely developmentally delayed.--Countryboy603 (talk) 19:34, 6 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Seems to be fine, especially with quotes from people like CAKE CCO Ed Galton using the term too. Magitroopa (talk) 19:45, 6 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
In some episodes they are called toddlers 2A00:23C6:BE86:B401:28ED:4FC5:3BC0:48F (talk) 14:50, 18 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
