Who really edited this book?
editI think I've read somewhere that Fred Pohl or someone similar actually chose the stories and did the real work, with Heinlein basically just sticking his name on the book. I could be wrong, though.... Hayford Peirce 18:36, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
That's certainly the impression I had gotten, at least from the published references, but if there's information in the Merril archives that indicates otherwise I'd be delighted. I do know that RAH was reluctant to do the work himself, stating that he wasn't current with the field and didn't have a clue as to how to approach the writers and write the contracts, not to mention his disinclination to antagonize the authors whose work he didn't chose. This I got directly from Fred Pohl. Bud Webster —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.238.28.213 (talk) 03:58, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
