- "It consists of two volcanoes that form a complex: "old Ticsani", which is a compound volcano that underwent a large collapse in the past and shed 15–30 cubic kilometres (3.6–7.2 cu mi) of mass down the Rio Tambo valley." - this sentence is awkward and a bit confusing. It took me multiple times reading through this in the lead to realize that "old Ticsani" is the complex, not one of the two volcanoes. But then the article body seems to imply that "old Ticsani" is only one of the two volcanoes, not the complex?
- I've rewritten this a bit. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 10:59, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
- "although more silicic rocks also occur" - silicic is a technical term here, recommend linking
- Language for Igme & Edward and Velarde et al. should be noted
- "the last eruption occurred after the 1600 eruption of neighbouring Huaynaputina" but there's also "The last sub-Plinian to phreatomagmatic eruption ("Brown Ticsani") took place shortly before the Huaynaputina eruption of 1600". Is one an error, or is the date of this eruption debated?
- It seems like Lavallee's source disagrees with the others on the chronology of "Brown Ticsani". Since their conclusions don't square with these of other field studies (Igme and Salazar) and I can't access Marino's source, I've put in the "after 1600" date. - The lead suggests that both Grey and Brown Tiscani were sub-Plinian, but this is only stated in the body for the more recent one
- Replaced with "large" since Grey Ticsani Pumice could have been Plinian instead. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 10:59, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
- Do sources comment on any flora or fauna residing on the volcano or is the area too inhospitable to support life?
- Going by Google Maps images, I'd wager it's the latter - it looks like a desert landscape and nobody in the sources discusses vegetation. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 10:59, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
Placing on hold, I think that's all from me. Hog Farm Talk 20:19, 4 January 2022 (UTC)
