referencing

edit

The reason there are no references cited is because I wrote this page from my own independent derivation of ticket locks; I figured them out from scratch, and then discovered they already existed (invented in 1991). Toby Douglass 16:13, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

How do you know they were invented in 1991? Whatever you found that said that, couldn't you use that as a reference? --68.0.124.33 (talk) 04:52, 7 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Confusion

edit

I have absolutely no idea what this article is about, other than that I can (barely) infer that it's computer-based. 24.250.218.248 (talk) 08:14, 12 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Atomic increment of now_serving

edit

Why is it mentioned that this is atomic? It doesn't have to be, as the lock holder is the only one who can increment it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.120.46.160 (talk) 22:08, 29 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
