Why does this article redirect to Thai baht? I thought tical means dope? This is for example what the article in the German Wikipedia says. Thanks if someone could clarify. thanks, gbrandt 14:49, 25 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Reference edit

If a reference can be added to a disambiguation page, then it should be this one from the Siamese Heritage archive of the Journal of the Siam Society:

The Origin of the Tical. de Campos, J.J. JSS Vol. 33.2c (1941)

Wikipedia:Disambiguation

  1. A topic is primary for a term with respect to usage if it is highly likely—much more likely than any other single topic, and more likely than all the other topics combined—to be the topic sought when a reader searches for that term.
  2. A topic is primary for a term with respect to long-term significance if it has substantially greater enduring notability and educational value than any other topic associated with that term.
Essentially, Wiki'd policy says, No, I can't put a reference on a DAB page, but must write a new article; or include the relevant information in whichever I consider to be the primary existing article and somehow cross-link to the lesser ones. Read the sole-source JSS article and perhaps you'll grasp why that exceeds my skill set. —Pawyilee (talk) 14:01, 23 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
