General edit

  • The article is on the short life. Is there no more information about Stack?
    • Sadly all such is the fate of many who did not gain particular fame. I can find no more information about him. There may be some more about him contained in the archives of Loyola Maryland and Georgetown, but this is purely speculation. Ergo Sum 04:07, 10 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Lead edit

  • Don't think Catholic should be wikilinked per MOS:OVERLINK
    • Though it is a common term to some, it is nonetheless a foreign term to others. I think linking it once is useful. Ergo Sum 04:08, 10 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Early life edit

  • "but his studies were halted" - what was he studying?
    • The source does not specify. If my knowledge of American universities at that time is accurate, there were no specialized courses of study; just general studies. Ergo Sum 04:10, 10 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • "after hearing its president," - don't think the word "its" is needed in the wikilink
  • "preach in Virginia." - what was Maguire preaching?
    • I cannot say for sure, since the source does not elaborate. Ergo Sum 04:11, 10 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Academic career edit

  • "as he became severely ill with a fever on August 22, 1887," - The year isn't needed since it is mentioned in the sentence before this one

Overall not too many issues here. Will put on hold to allow the nominator to address or query the points raised above. MWright96 (talk) 13:49, 3 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
