editI do not believe it is the only hot water spring in the UK. Look at the St. Anne Well spring at duxbury for example. See http://www.whitedragon.org.uk/articles/amemetiae.htm --Filll 07:30, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
- The claim is made here, though in view of the article you found it appears that it's not totally accurate. I have removed the sentence. --MichaelMaggs 14:45, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
After a bit of investigation, I realized there are hot water springs, thermal springs, and warm water springs. There is some confusion about the definitions. I looked up a few termperatures, and it does appear that the Bath springs (there are 3 or 4 of them) are the only hot water springs in the UK, but not the only thermal springs in the UK. I put a link to a stub where I listed the information I found about thermal and hot springs in the UK.--Filll 03:38, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
Classes and Bathing
editI read that the hot bath was reserved for the lower classes and the other two baths had some other class distinction. Anyone know about this? --Filll 23:35, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- There is a separate (but very basic) article on the Roman Spa called Roman Baths. That could do with a lot of history added to it, including the answer to your question. I have some Bath history books at home, and I'll see what I can find. --MichaelMaggs 17:41, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
Infection
editIs there a good link that discusses the infection that was found? --Filll 23:36, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, but it's best reached via Roman Baths (Bath). The link is [1]. --MichaelMaggs 17:15, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
