Can we delay any deletion please. We need a little time for this stub to further develop alongside all of the the other Occupational_Therapy related stubs. Just to add. Im concerned by some of the rather fast tagging of recent OT pages. Here is a copy of the email that I have sent RHaworth as Im concerned this is putting people off getting involved with wikipedia:

Just dropping you a email re: some wiki pages that I think you are hot on the case of. After getting some feedback on the wiki support IRC a while ago that this was neither a bad idea or one that should be stopped a few of us in the UK have arranged for something called OTWikiFlash (http://otwikiflash.net). Basically we are trying to get a lot better information out there regarding a topic that is known as Occupational Therapy. This is not just weak advertising. Its actually crucial - patients and professionals who don't come into contact with the profession often are using the net to find out (e.g. "Why is my child being seen by a OT?" and "What kind of science is behind this?") and there is nothing out there - and what does exist borders on the blatant wrong. Our argument is to the community at large - "well change it". Like a lot of topics its actually not that small. I argue that it shouldn't be all on one page. Think of it like computer programming. It doesn't just have one page - it has many that are dedicated to languages, operating systems, theorys etc.. Bear with us until the syntax is made clear to the rest of the world. Yes, it could be all made into one hell of a wiki entry but thats gonna get messy. We are just trying to add to the content on the net and wikipedia makes the best sense. So, what this means is that yes, there will be a influx of content on a number of topics, and yes, some will need merges..and perhaps even deletes.. but we are trying to make a better community here.. so just hold on in there while things settle down. Please!

Hi, I'd like to support Will and other OT contributers here. It really is great that occupational therapists are outlining what they do. This information will be useful to students, clinicians and service users, so bear with us while we get this right. A few members of our group will keep an overall eye on things and we trust that over the next few weeks this will come good. Different things

Firstly, let me say very clearly Wikipedia is not a free host. What you are doing reminds me of what Vera Guinne did a few months ago. The satisfactory outcome with her (and you might find it useful to contact her since your fields of interest overlap somewhat) can also be applied to you:

• Create a separate wiki at Wikia for occupational therapists to discuss their craft. (Vera created one with a rather odd title: Referral Orders.) On that wiki you will be able to play as much as you like without vigilant patrollers slapping tags on your articles.
• Restrict your activities here to well thought out, well referenced improvemnts. For example my instant reaction to this therapeutic activity essay is: what does this article say that cannot be put in the occupational therapy article?
