Merging the character list into the main article.

Merge The article itself is a stub. It may grow beyond that, but the list is at its max, 5 characters. Such a size is easily incorperated into the article and does not need to be split off. — J Greb 07:37, 15 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • Merge - agree absolutely. --Dystopos 14:53, 15 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
  • Merge - a snub parent and a snub-list child. 124.152.55.79 15:43, 24 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Merged the list into this article as per above. — J Greb 21:29, 23 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

"Nice Trenchcoat" edit

Removed following section:

This joke itself may also draw its origins from an earlier joke found in a single panel within issue #71 of the Sandman. In that panel, John Constantine, Dr. Occult and the Phantom Stranger all encounter each other at a wake. Constantine remarks sarcastically to Occult "Nice trench coat" to which Occult replies with a curt "Thanks".

Issue #71 of Sandman was released in Sept 1995[1] and The Books of Magic was first published in 1990/1991: the "Nice trenchcoat" line is a separate joke alluding to the original "Charge of the Trenchcoat Brigade" joke from TBoM and so not particularly relevant here. Fair use rationale for Image:Trenchcoat brigade comic book cover small.jpg edit

Image:Trenchcoat brigade comic book cover small.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Cleanup of Members Section edit

I just removed the following remarks from the *Members* section, as they appear to refer to the members table in a previous form, and are either unnecessary or no longer accurate.

The names listed are those used while the character was associated with the "Trenchcoat Brigade".

The first appearance column lists the place where the character first appeared as a member of the team. It is not necessarily the first appearance of the character in print, nor the story depicting how the character joined the team.

All information is listed in publication order first, then alphabetical.

I propose that the table be replaced with a simple bullet-point list of the members, with links to their individual articles. I don't really see why the specific fields "Real Name", "First Joined Team", and "First Appearance" are particularly significant for this group. Especially since the "First joined Team" column is the same for all members except Rose, in whose case it is debatable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tsmackinlay (talkcontribs) 22:07, 18 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
